The truth about Sol&Jesse!

I had the opportunity to spend some time alone with Sol this evening... it was pretty funny watching her fight and makeup with Jesse!

This was hilarious but maybe I shouldn't have let him tackle her... sorry SOL!

I think she was pretty done with Jesse by the end...

new mascot for the office, JESSE!

Ok... he's really not the official office mascot because Sol would pitch a fit!!! First it was Malcolm (one of our cats that loves to sit in our chairs or on our hand as we edit... he's a real stinker!)Then Sol was born and she decided she wanted run of the office so Malcolm got demoted. Now we have Jesse but he will be vice president to Lady Sol!

Billy and I had been looking for just the right puppy to adopt and this stinking cute baby won us over this past weekend! He is sooooooooooooo cute and I'm really glad he is part of our family. We have been lucky enough to have been watching Brownie for Billy's sister for a couple of months. Brown DOG doesn't care much for the pup and I think she will be ecstatic when her mama comes to pick her up this weekend. Sol is a little upset that Jesse keeps trying to steal her beloved blanket... she's not into sharing. Memo is warming up but can't quite figure the pup out yet... he sleeps too much for his liking.

Brittany&Matt 03.06.2009

Brittany&Matt had an intimate wedding at her parents house yesterday. It was super sweet and low key!!! The ceremony was officiated by Brittany's brother who did such an a amazing job. I thought it was pretty funny how their friends decided to saran wrap their car... I do have to say they worked as a team to get that sucker off in NO time! I was lucky enough to get the referral from Meg&Zach... thanks guys and a huge thanks to Brittany's parent for making me feel so welcomed and loved! Brittany thanks for the BCP (beauty care products) you are awesome!!! I tried my new products today and they ROCK!

Wow!!! Matt and I are on our honeymoon in Mexico, and were finally able to see the pics. We are stunned!!! I have no words to express how wonderful you were during the sessions/wedding, and how phenomenal they turned out! Way better than i could have ever anticipated. I am overly impressed by your professionalism, yet allowing us to feel comfortable doing something that is not normally natural for matt or me (having our picture taken that is). Your pictures are a work of art, and I can't wait to have you take more for us in the future. Thank you for being so kind and gracious to us! We love them! and you!!!

Brittany Bridal!

I have been anxiously waiting to post these... thought I should wait until after the wedding! Here they are… Thanks to Bennu Coffee (new coffee shot on east MLK, opening really soon!) for letting us shot out side and inside!

Athena!!!!.... and AVA!

YAY!!!! My first senior portrait! I love Athena not only is she a pretty COOL chick she is also my babysitter and the daughter of my friend SITA! I had a BALST going around town with her… I just pretended we where having a mini fashion shot! Sita and Athena’s little sister Ava joined us at the end to get some shots of the 2 girls. Ava is a HAM!
Ps… if anyone is interested in getting awesome facial or needs a little wax :)… bikini season is right around the corner, call SITA she’s amazing.

Michelle&Keith 02.21.09

I’ve been looking forward to Michelle&Keith’s wedding for a long time! They are such a fun and laid back couple. Every time I turned around, someone was doing something goofy! Usually it’s the boys being ridiculous… but this time, the girls didn’t disappoint! It was also great to see so many of the dame faces from Kristyna&Josh’s wedding… yes another recommendation from them! THANKS GUYS… so this is where it starts getting complicated…stick with me here... We’ll call it Kristyna&Josh’s 6 degrees of separation. Kristyna&Josh were the first to tie the knot. Michelle&Keith were in their wedding party (maid of honor and usher)…but I’m not sure if wedding bells were on their minds yet… Greg was a groomsman, whose sister (Kristin) would soon be getting married…and maybe he had something up his sleeve as well. I photographed Kristin&Joseph’s wedding last year, where Kristyna&Josh were guests, and where I met Greg’s girl, Ashley. And now, at Michelle&Keith’s wedding, Kristyna&Josh were guests again! And Greg proposed to Ashley THAT NIGHT! So we’ll see what their wedding adds to this crazy love chain!

I just got this from Keith, he's still cracking me up... "Thanks Vanessa! Sorry about the drunkies that try to tell you how to shoot!”... you should have seen the guys giving ALL kinds of pointers!

Taylor!

Taylor didn't want her picture taken the other day... really!!! Somehow I managed to get a couple of photos of her smiling but it took A LOT!!! Lots of walking with her, running tap water. bouncing, singing, feeding... I feel very lucky to have photographed Taylor, not because she gave me a hard time and I still got a couple of smiles, but because I photographed her folks' wedding a while back and have been fortunate enough to keep in touch with Kristy (MOM). Taylor... I hope you got that nap you really needed!

Katie&Mathew 02.14.2009

Yesterday I got to spend 1/2 of my day with Katie, Mathew, their families and friends. It was wonderful! The ceremony took place at Southwestern University, Lois Perkins Chapel in Georgetown and the reception at Cimarron Hills. Even though the weather was supposed to be sunny and 70 degrees it wasn't... surprise, surprise! Texas weather 80 degrees one day 40 the next! Well neither the rain nor cold was going to stop us from getting some awesome shots! Katie thanks for being such a trooper in your strapless dress! It actually only rained for a couple a minutes at a time so we really lucked out!!! HAPPY Valentines DAY!!!
