Lindsey

I had a great time photographing Lindsey yesterday. She's super-sweet, and she looked amazing in her dress...absolutely gorgeous. And she has one of the better "serious looks" I've seen, even though she doesn't seem to think so. The weather yesterday was great, but only if you were indoors, avoiding the crazy tornado-like winds out in the hill country...but hey, that's better than rain! I am really looking forward to shooting Lindsey&Patrick's wedding this March. I can't wait!

Blanca also came along with me on the shoot. I took a quick look through her photos, and one in particular stood out to me that looked really cool. I posted it at the end, but hopefully Blanca will post more on her soon-to-be blog....(hint hint hint).

Lindsey&Patrick!

Wedding season is just around the corner and that means tons of engagement and bridal sessions! It's nice to get back into work after the slow season. It's also been crazy these last couple of weeks because of the rain so we have been rescheduling sessions left and right. I hate that but the rain just wont cut it! So it was really nice to see Lindsey again and finally meet Patrick after many rescheduling emails . I'm really excited to photograph their wedding in April! We had a great time walking around downtown and let me tell you the weather couldn't have been nicer. Thanks again to Barbara from bringing us together... awwwwwwwwww

1. I was let go from my webmaster position while 7 months pregnant and 2 weeks before Christmas. It was a disaster… I thought it was the worst thing ever and in retrospect it was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. It made me realize I had to do photography full time. It made me take the plunge and look where I am at know.

2. I went back to live in Mexico City when I was 26 because I was offered a job at a local internet company, lacanica (kids internet site) doing web design and developing. I had a great time spending time in this amazing city with my family. It was an amazing adventure to be in such a big city as a young professional and single.

3. I have a bit of a gambling problem… ok… it’s not a gambling problem but I sure like to play POKER and I’m not too shabby at it. I’ve been known to take some of the boys out.

4. I recycle just about everything and drive a hybrid… you can Thank my son Memo for that! I even have a membership to Eco Wise on I-35.

5. Before getting hitched I spent some time traveling Europe…. I’ve made it to Ireland 2 times and spent my 27^th birthday at the Salzburg festival watching Figaro’s wedding. I like the opera.

6. I worked at the Camden Brasserie in London (I lived in London briefly while I was 23) where I waited on Jean-Luc Picard. The crazy owners of the Brassiere were from Uruguay so they hired me because I spoke Spanish. They made me cry more than once… crazy Latinos!

7. I’m obsessed with handbags… nice handbags (not so good on the old wallet). Just ask my husband…. He says he’s getting closer to a Ducati Monster one bag at a time. My latest addition is a blue suede LUCKY bag and an absolutely gorgeous camel brown hobo by B Makowsky.

I decided to post some photos of my family as well... i haven't done that in a while but these were taken about 2 weeks ago. Sol is getting so big and has the best laugh. Memo... well he keeps me on my toes!

Britt&Jeff

I had a BLAST with Britt&Jeff... they are one of the goofiest couples I have ever met and I LOVE it! We basically played around for a couple of hours and got some really fun and crazy shots! I can't wait for their wedding in March. It's going to be nothing less than spectacular. I'm so glad Denise from Soiree brought us together... sweet... it's like falling in love!
