Marlene&Matthew

I had the pleasure of photographing Marlene&Matt today.... we have been trying to schedule this for a while so it was nice to finally meet them. The first thing I noticed about Marlene was her eyes...stunning. She has a one of those super sexy stares and Matt's eyes are piercing Blue! He is leaving for Iraq next year, and Marlene wanted to be sure and get some photos of them before he leaves. They plan on getting married when he gets back. I wish you guys all the BEST!

What I’m Thankful for. Here are just a couple.

1. Memo and Sol who bring light and fluffy air into my life every day even when it seems like life couldn’t get any denser.

2. Billy… who drives me completely crazy but who loves me even when I make it almost impossible for him.

3. My job!!!!!!!!!!! Wow… I can’t begin to tell you how lucky I have it. I truly love my work and not only does it pay the bills, it helps me grow.

4. Blanca… who makes my job easier and has become such a wonderful part of my family.

5. My family who gives me unconditional support and helps me fight the fight every day.

6. Margaritas/Friends/Poker (sometimes all 3 at the same time) who make me smile and keep me funny... ok how about sane! ;)

7. Oh yeah… and Deadwood (the series) for giving me some stress relief at night.

This is cute because they belong to my kids. Otherwise you might just focus on why Memo's feet look dirty... he's a boy!Look at my kids... they are adorable!

Cute! Even the bear made it in the photo.
Sol decided she was only going to make crazy faces until her mom fed her...
I like this one because you can see Memo jumping around in the background.

I love this one of Linda and Sol...
Grandpa is good for all kinds of things...

Playing in Photoshop!

ok... I'm not a huge fan on overdoing images in photoshop. I really love clean-crisp-bright images... I think that defines part of my style but every once in a while I get the itch to play. So... I played around today on some images from my last engagement session and I created these. Which do I like better? Well... both! I think the photoshopped ones (and don't get me wrong they are both given some love in photoshop just not the same kind of love) look artsy and that can be great but I just don't like to overdo it. It's good for a couple of great images that would look awesome as an art piece on your wall or in your album but not for everything.

Randi&Mark

This is the beginning of lots of posts so get ready! We are finally back to work after a much needed break.

Randi&Mark are getting married in St Kitts... yes really St. Kitts. It's not till next December but they decided to have me do their engagement session early so they could get the save the dates out. I met Randi&Mark for the first time Saturday night at Meredith&Jason's wedding (thanks for the recommendation guys). I have been chatting with Randi over email for a while so it was nice to finally put a face to an email (ok, that sounds weird). These two were up for anything and i love when a couple has complete trust in my vision! It makes my life easier and the photos ROCK! I love these shots. Thanks guys!

The Millers!

I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie and her super COOL family at the McWilliam's kiddos birthday party. I can't express enough how glad I'm to have met them. They are truly wonderful people. Neither of us had a lot of time for a photo session so we decided to do it quick and dirty and I LOVE IT! Stephanie had the brilliant idea of bringing silly string and it was hit. Thanks for sharing your wonderful boys with me. I'm still going to take you up on dinner.
Crazy Tyler... Mason looks a little concerned.
Mason is adorable!
